Balslev designs all types of fire protection systems in with new constructions and retrofits, according to requirements stipulated etiher in the building regulations, the building permit, a fire strategy report or on the client's own initiative. Functionally based fire requirements increase the demands on protection systems

Today, many buildings are constructed according to functionally based fire requirements i.e. based on how the building is used and how a certain level of protection can be achieved. This allows for more flexibility in the building design. As a consequence, there are increased demands for with regards to interaction between several types of fire protection systems.

This is also has impact on the operation and maintenance of the fire protections systems in order to ensure that these are operating correctly. In order to have a complete overview of the how the different fire protection systems are designed and built, it is essential that correct as built documentation for each of the installed systems is provided in accordance with current requirements.
