Mogens Balslev's Foundation

The main purpose of Mogens Balslev's Foundation is to ensure the financial basis for Balslev Consulting Engineers A/S.

Another objective is to provide support for Danish engineering sciences, especially within the areas of education and research. As such, the foundation provides grants and scolarships for engineering students and educational institutions.

In addition, the foundation supports miscellaneous projects of charitable or non-profit nature and to the benefit of society.

Balslev Consulting Engineers A/S

The foundation holds 100% of the shares of Balslev Consulting Engineers A/S, one of Denmark's large providers of consultancy services and engineering in the area of electro-technical, automation and energy solutions.

Travel scholarship for students

There are two ways for engineering students to apply for a travel scholarship: You can apply directly at the Balslev Foundation, or you can be nominated by your educational institution. In both cases the foundation gives priority to students, who are engaged in studies related to energy.

Charter

In order to be nominated for a travel scholarship, you both have to be skilled within your area and to show civil courage i.e. you are not afraid to state your opinion.

Annual scholarship awards

In connection with the annual scholarship awards Balslev invites customers and other business connections to an informal event hosted at e.g. the premises of a customer, a cultural event etc. with a tour and a presentation. Among others, we have heard presentations by:

• Widex about their cutting edge technology within digital hearing aid plus a guided tour around their new hi-tech, sustainable head quarters with solar energy, thermal heating, own wind turbine etc.

• Tycho Brahe Planetarium's director Bjørn Franck Jørgensen

• Climate researcher, professor Henrik Svensmark from the Technical University of Denmark
